if you are coming to Mons on the we of 3and 4 march? Because
i saw the program and you are not on it,thanks for answer
and see you later,take care
Ben
Hi Ben,
We are not on the program for Mons in 2007 because we must have a change.
We have performed there for 4 years and so it is important to change.
We will probably be back in 2008. See you somewhere soon maybe. Thanks
.... Craig

hi craig!
since your show at buffalo's, there is a lot of fritz jones, kurt jones or
chris jones out there on their bikes, busy trying to powerslide, wheelie
and stoppie like you did. I'm afraid the hospital will soon run out of
free beds! anyway, your show was definitly the highlight of this season
and will remain in everybody's mind. even the girls still talk about it,
and I can't remember anything to do with motorcycles that ever made any
impact on them! Yesterday I caught myself trying to wheelie my road king,
but my front wheel must be too chrome-heavy, that's my only explanation
why it did not work! I hope you are all right and did not suffer from the
sausages in linz like I did, greetings to wing too, harry

Hi Craig,
Saw you today at Donington
park absolutley incredible.
I'm still trying to get my head around the way that you
seem to defy both physics and geometry.
I think the most impressive thing is that you can explain it as you are
doing it.
Thanks for the entertainment and good luck with the Buell academy idea.
Best regards
Paul Vale

Craig,
Scotty here, from the Royal Navy and your visit to the airfield at Merryfield,
Somerset. I hear through the grape vine all is well and you are still tearing
up the tarmac. Since then I have moved to Thailand, racing bikes in the
Thai Superbike Championship. I am average but aving fun, this place needs
you to liven up the races. If not then maybe a holiday break from your
season. All the best Scotty

Craig - you are definitely the one to ask this question...
since recently moving from a '98 ZX-9 to an '06 xb9 Lightning I'm finding it
hard to find where in
the RPM range to let go of the clutch to get my front wheel up off the ground
- Have you got any tips on how to take advantage of all those ft-lbs of torque?
The usable power for lifting a wheelie on
a Buell really is around 3000rpm. What I mean is simply wind the throttle up
to this kind of rpm and dump the clutch hard with 2 fingers but still cover it.
The front will lift suddenly but you must retain control. So covering the rear
brake is essential. If you already are familiar with wheelies then the zone that
you need to keep the wheel up is anything up to 5000rpm. Try not to exceed this
because you will very rapidly near the rev limiter. Backing your speed off with
the rear brake will keep you in this zone or you can change gear but always use
the clutch to do this. A quick 2 finger dip of the clutch is all you need
to take the tension off the drive belt and enable you to change gear. Reintroduce
the cutch smoothly.
Good luck and give it time to learn. This will not happen
overnight.

where can i find a chain drive for a 2005 xb12r . the rear belt keeps on snaping
in half
Hi James, a chain drive is
not the answer to your problem. The belts are very strong and should not break.
You or your tyre fitter must be very careful not to force the belt in a sideways
plane. Sometimes people force the belts because they cannot be bothered to take
off the belt guard. Also ensure that you have not picked up a stone or debris
in the front or rear pulleys. If you do burnouts then sometimes rubber can build
up in the teeth of the rear pulley which prevents the belt from sitting correctly.
Also check that there are no sharp edges on the pulleys possibly caused
by picking up debris from the road. Finally check that your dealer sells
you the latest up to date belt and not an old stock belt. I can guarantee that
these belts are strong. I can go through the toughest of seasons with no problems.
Part of my routine is to lift me and
my passenger Wing up on the front of the bike for every show. Think of the force
involved and the stress on the belt but still we have no problems.
I hope that you cure your problem soon.
Thanks, Craig Jones

Dear Mr. Jones, I am interested in purchasing a 2006 Buell Lightning CityX XB9SX.
I've read many different reviews and I'm still unsure if I should buy one or
not. Could you give me a little insight as to what your feelings are about the
bike, or more simply, would you buy one? Thank you in advance, Kevin Fitzgerald
The Buell City X is a model that
I use to demonstrate aggressive low speed handling techniques to customers on
Buell academy days. It is a 9 and not a 12 so the power can be used to the max
with no surprises. This is important in an urban/city traffic environment where
hard aggressive filtering through traffic in rush hour gets you from A to B in
a controlled and safe way. The bike has the usual forgiving feedback if you make
a mistake and takes very little effort to work considering its a 1000cc
engine. It also looks cool in and around town. So if you want to be a little
different then go for it.
Thanks, Craig Jones.

Dear Craig,
I've been a great fan of yours for ages but never get to see you in action
often enoough - easy to get trapped in London <g>.
I was just looking at the website and there are some great pictures there -
keep em coming. Your Deliverance idea was a stroke of genius.
Want to wish you the best of luck and I hope that I get the chance to say hi
in person one day.
Cheers,
Frank

Craig,
You have made another fan today! You are one bad ass
rider! It's great to see someone who stunts a Buell. I have a 99 X-1 lightning,
it's the best wheelie bike i have ever ridden! Keep up the good work, and
put some more pics up!
